Bonita Walters Obituary

Bonita Lee (Sicola)Walters, age 76, of Dillsburg, passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Altoona, PA. on June 18th, 1949, to the late Frank and Gloria Sicola. She was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.  Moving to York County in 1969, her and her husband (Paul Walters) operated many businesses before she became a hostess within a local restaurant, and office manage for Walters Chiropractic.

A loyal friend, devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother to four cherished grandchildren. Known to many as Bonnie, she had a gift for making people feel welcomed and loved. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent together, whether it was sharing stories, offering wisdom, or simply enjoying laughter with others.

She found joy in being with her children, grandchildren and at the beach celebrating the warmth of the sun, sound of the waves and deep conversations with her girlfriends.  She loved life fully, and embraced each day with gratitude, kindness, and grace.

Those who knew her will remember her for her kind heart, her strength, and the way she made others feel valued and understood. She taught her daughters to be strong, love with all they had, but most of all to be happy. With that, she was not only a wonderful mother and grandmother, but also a true friend — someone you could count on, lean on, and laugh with.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children Shannon Walters (Jeff Ulm) and Shelby Paxton (Brett Paxton), as well as her four grandchildren (Shea, Haydn, Asher and Henle Paxton) and a brother Gary Sicola (Mary Gibbs). She was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul A. Walters.

Bonnie will have a private family service and will be interred at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Dementia Society of America - https://www.dementiasociety.org or spend a day at the beach with your family in her honor.

A special thank you to those who cared for her over the last several years. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
